Amanda provides these services from Mondays through Thursdays.
Amanda has numerous years of experience working within the child welfare sector. Amanda was previously a Children’s Service Worker as well as a Child Protection Worker, working with children, youth, and families on a daily basis to ensure their overall safety and well-being. Within these experiences, Amanda had the opportunity to work at an Indigenous led child welfare agency and worked in Indigenous Communities. Amanda is familiar with working alongside First Responders and Crisis Workers. Amanda appreciates opportunities working with children with disabilities/complex needs as well as children who experience behaviours, anger management, and emotional dysregulation. This can be extended to aiding parents with strategies and tools to navigate the needs of their child(ren).
Why work with me?
As a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, I specialize in supporting children, youth, families, couples, and individuals through life challenges with a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental approach. My practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and a belief in each individual’s ability for growth and healing.
Whether you or your child(ren) are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences and build effective coping skills and strategies. I promise to work alongside you to set meaningful goals, uncover patterns, and cultivate resilience. Together, we will work toward improving emotional well-being, fostering healthier relationships, navigating parenting (if applicable), and developing skills that support lasting change.
I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and believe that psychotherapy should be an inclusive, empowering, and collaborative process. If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I would be honoured to support you!
