She/her/hers
My therapeutic practice is rooted in relationship. I start wherever an individual is at, both physically and metaphorically. Through an anti-oppressive, culturally competent, trauma informed lens I join you on a journey towards wellbeing. Together we explore and pursue hoped for outcomes. I am safe and comfortable holding space and witness for you to process your pain, struggles and horizons.
I have 30 years’ experience working within the helping field and readily engage with persons of all ages and life stages. My background includes a BA in psychology and a master’s in social work. I consistently draw from evidence-based practice models including ACT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and solution focused.
With much lived and worked experience, I am a good fit for individuals working through loss & grief, addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem issues, family dysfunction, domestic violence & child welfare related issues. To every session I promise to bring safety, compassion, curiosity and hope, reflection and some humour.
My energy is fueled spending time with my partner and multiple dogs in and out with nature. I am excited by ideas, experiences and always on the lookout for the next renovation project.
