I am excited to begin my counselling journey with Dearborn Therapy after completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I look forward to supporting clients as they manage anxiety and depression, navigate emotional challenges, understand relational patterns, and address chronic pain and somatic symptoms. Additionally, I work with clients to clarify and pursue personal and professional goals, establish healthy boundaries, cultivate a balanced and sustainable lifestyle, and develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles such as stress, burnout, and self-doubt.
My approach draws from psychodynamic and attachment-based theories, which explore how early experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I help clients examine identity, self-worth, and emotional patterns that may be rooted in the past but continue to affect the present. In my practice, I pay close attention to the connection between emotional and physical pain, supporting a more compassionate and integrated understanding of the self.
I see therapy as a partnership where your experience guides the process. My role is to create a safe, supportive space where together we can identify what’s holding you back and work to shift unhelpful patterns, helping you find greater clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of self.
I integrate a range of approaches including narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support resilience, self-compassion, and lasting change. Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family, curling up with a good book, and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
