Shamin Brown is a dedicated registered social worker, therapist, and certified life and health coach, specializing in trauma-informed art therapy. Shamin is not only a practitioner but also an author, Canadian brainspotting therapist, national coach, trainor and group facilitator. She has been actively involved in the anti-trafficking movement for over 20 years, contributing both as a community member and a professional.
With over two decades of experience, Shamin is deeply committed to supporting individuals, particularly females, in their journey towards greater self-esteem, balance, and self-love. She combines a feminist, trauma-informed, solution-oriented, person-centered approach with principles of self-compassion and harm reduction to empower her clients.
With Shamin, clients can expect a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach that incorporates art, storytelling, and dialogue. She believes in building bridges through self-expression and learning, fostering deep connections, and empowering individuals to reclaim their narratives.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, she also offers brainspotting (an organic version of EMDR) and expressive art therapy while focussing on emotional decolonization.
