Ashley Apland, MA., RP, is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds training at the Master’s level in Counselling Psychology with experience providing psychotherapy services to adults, children, youth, and families experiencing a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges. She brings a strong clinical foundation informed by her experience in Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI), crisis services, domestic violence, and community counselling.
Ashley’s practice is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and client-centered, strengths-based approaches. She integrates these frameworks to support emotional regulation, behavioural change, skill acquisition, and improved functioning.
Her clinical experience includes working with individuals with neurodevelopmental differences, anxiety-related concerns, behavioural challenges, and social-emotional difficulties.
She has demonstrated competency in conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment and implementing therapeutic interventions that are measurable and goal-oriented. Her approach is trauma-informed, emphasizing safety, trust, and relational connection.
Her clinical philosophy emphasizes resilience, capacity-building, and collaborative goal setting. Ashley works to empower clients to build sustainable coping strategies, enhance well-being, and navigate challenges with confidence.
