GOOD FAITH BOOKING & ATTENDANCE POLICY
Psychotherapy is most effective when sessions occur with consistency and continuity. When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved specifically for you and is generally unavailable to another client.
We understand that occasional cancellations or changes are sometimes unavoidable. However, frequent cancellations, late cancellations, missed appointments, or repeated rescheduling can disrupt the therapeutic process, impact clinician caseload management, increase administrative demands, and reduce availability for other clients.
We therefore ask that appointments be booked in good faith, with a reasonable intention and ability to attend.
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours and missed appointments may be subject to the practice's cancellation fee of up to full rate of session ($175).
Where there is an ongoing pattern of cancellations or rescheduling, your therapist may discuss alternative scheduling arrangements with you. This may include booking appointments closer to the date, adjusting appointment frequency, or temporarily pausing regularly scheduled sessions.
We recognize that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen and will consider these situations with compassion and discretion.
Our goal is to support consistent therapeutic care while ensuring that clinician time and appointment availability are managed fairly for all clients.
This is evaluated on a case by case based on various factors and is not a one size fits all policy but based on frequency within specified time periods.
Thank you for respecting the time reserved for your care and for helping us provide accessible, consistent care to everyone.
