Keiran Letwiniuk.
Registered Social Service Worker RSSW.
Have you ever felt like you didn’t belong—like you’re living a life that keeps you from expressing your truest self, or like no one sees the “real” you?
If any of these feelings resonate with you, I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to help you uncover the strength, healing, and resilience that already shine within you.
Who I Am
My name is Keiran Letwiniuk, and I am a Registered Social Service Worker. My personal journey navigating the mental health system and finding the courage to live as my truest self has shaped both my life and my practice. I am Queer, Transgender, Disabled, Métis, and newly diagnosed as Neurodivergent. These parts of my identity have made it challenging to find affirming care in our region, which is why I’m committed to helping strengthen 2SLGBTQ+ mental wellness in Northwestern Ontario.
My Training & Approach
I am a graduate of Fleming College’s Social Service Worker Diploma program, where I also earned an Indigenous Perspectives designation. I chose this path because I value integrating Traditional Anishinaabe healing modalities alongside traditional psychotherapy methods. I am currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Community Development from Sheridan College and am passionate about creating safer, more inclusive communities.
My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, anti-racist, Intersectional, and wholistic lens. I use strengths-based and person-centered approaches, as well as mindfulness-based techniques when appropriate.
My Work in the Community
I currently work as a Peer Support Worker with CMHA Fort Frances, where I’m grateful to use my lived experience to support others navigating mental health challenges. I also volunteer with the Kenora Pride Committee and co-founded Queer Peers, a 2SLGBTQ+ peer support group.
Outside of Work
When I’m not supporting clients or community initiatives, I love spending time with my three dogs, two cats, my amazing husband, and my incredibly supportive family and friends. I’m an avid cozy gamer, a plant enthusiast, and someone who loves exploring and traveling whenever I can. I can’t wait to meet you!
